National Projects





The “Save at Home, Own your Future” Project

Through TIKAV’s coordination, since 2020, we have brought to life the “Save at Home, Own your Future” Project in 27 different locations across Turkey financed by Akfen Renewable Energy. These locations have been chosen due to Solar, Wind and Hydroelectric Plants being there. Within the scope of the project, Akfen Renewable Energy has and continues to organise seminars in 27 different neighbourhoods or villages. These seminars aim to teach women living in rural areas to use high-costing electricity in a more conscious and aware manner.




“Hygiene is Health” Project

The project was completed in 23 different locations and reached over 2000 people between February-April 2019 and October-December 2019. Through TIKAV’s coordination, in 2019, we brought to life the “Hygiene is Health” Project in 26 different locations across Turkey financed by Akfen Renewable Energy. These locations have been chosen due to Solar, Wind and Hydroelectric Plants being there. Within the scope of the project, Akfen Renewable Energy organised seminars in 26 different neighbourhoods or villages. These seminars aim to teach women living in rural areas that work with their physical strength about the importance of physical and nutritional hygiene in order to live healthy lives. 




“Health First” Project

Through TIKAV’s coordination, in 2018, we brought to life the “Health First” Project in 17 different locations across Turkey financed by Akfen Renewable Energy. These locations have been chosen due to Solar, Wind and Hydroelectric Plants being there. The project aimed to raise awareness regarding first aid, fundamental health, cancer screening, routine checkups, gynaecological diseases and organ donation to women over the age of 18.In addition, it aimed to support women in learning about wrong health interferences by those who are unprofessional in fields of medicine, break down prejudices and teach them about the importance of early diagnosis when it comes to gynaecological diseases.
Within the scope of the projecti 1500 people were reached in 17 different locations.  

Pupil At Home” Project

The Pupil at Home Project took place in 2017 in partnership with TIKAV and Akfen Renewable Energy. The project aimed to teach parents about the important of education at home for children between the ages of 0-6 especially when it comes to the physical, psychomotor, social-emotional, mind and language development of children. 0-6 yaş aralığındaki proje geliştirme 0-6 yaş aralığındaki proje geliştirme 0-6 yaş grubu.

My Mother and I Project

The “Mother and I” Project which took place in partnership with the Turkey Young Business Men Association (TÜGİAD) Ankara Brunch, aimed at supporting children seeing treatment at the Children’s Health and Illnesses Haematology Oncology Education and Research Hospital and their mothers whilst raising awareness about societal awareness.



2015 Social Inclusion Projects

In 2015, two panels were organised on different social problems by TIKAV and Mersin International Port (MIP). The Panels were about “Working Life and Women” as well as “Communication within the Family”. These panels aimed to develop different perspectives, touch on social issues, raise awareness among the public and share knowledge on applications taking part across the country. Solutions were explored by bringing together various people and organisations.

“The Disabilities Within Us” Project

In 2014, the “Disabilities Within Us” project took part in partnership with Mersin International Port (MIP) and TIKAV; it was supported by the Mersin Governorship, Mersin Directorate of National Education as well as the Family and Social Policies Provincial Directorate. The Project aimed to raise awareness about disabilities, and that people with disabilities are not victims. Instead, the project aimed at spreading the view that disabled people should be involved in social life and that equal opportunity should be provided to them. The project was delivered to family members who had disabled people in their own families.

“Hand-in-Hand with Local Authorities in Mersin” Project

The “Hand-in-Hand with Local Authorities in Mersin” Project was delivered in 2013 by Mersin International Port (MIP) and TIKAV. Within the scope of the project, neighbourhood and village chiefs/authorities came together within the Mediterranean, Mezitli, Taurus and Yenişehir districts. Throughout the year, twice a month seminars were given to the village chiefs on Communication techniques, Leadership, Official Correspondence Rules and IT. The changing dynamics of our day were also discussed throughout the program. 100 village chiefs were able to gain “Participation Certificates” by joining the seminars.

“We Fix, You Study Project” Project

The “We Fix, You Study” Project began in partnership with Mersin International Port and TIKAV supported by Mersin Governorship and Mersin Provincial Directorate for National Education in 2012. The project aimed to renovate at least one school every year determined by the Mersin Provincial Directorate for National Education. Through whitewashing, painting, restoration, the project aimed to provide benefit to society. In addition, educational materials and furniture were also provided within the budget of this project.

“Mother’s School” Project

The “Mother’s School” Project took part in partnership with Mersin International Port (MIP) and TIKAV in Mersin. It aimed to raise awareness about fundamental health among mothers who took part in the project.

New Traditions, Old Village (EKYA) Project

The “New Traditions, Old Village” Project which came to life due to the partnership of Mersin International Port (MIP) and TIKAV, aimed to increase the IT skills of the villagers via the computers that had been placed in special village rooms by the governorship in mountain villages. In addition, raising awareness about social responsibility was also another goal of this project which it aimed to achieve through 63 MIP employees taking part in the project.
